Scheduling work across untrusted hardware is a known problem with known answers. Proving afterwards that the work was done honestly is not, at least not cheaply.
Current approaches trade off between redundant execution, which doubles cost, and trusted hardware attestation, which narrows the supplier pool to exactly the vendors decentralisation was meant to route around.
